Podcast AdBlock is an independent site of practical guides for podcast listeners who are tired of ad breaks eating their listening time. Every guide is written to be the most honest, useful resource on its topic, and to tell you what actually works in 2026, including the free options and the things that don't work at all.

Who runs it

The site is written by Ben Bowler, a software developer who has spent years working with podcast feeds, dynamic ad insertion, and playback tools. Everything here comes from hands-on testing on real iPhone and Android devices, not press releases.

How we test and recommend

We test tools ourselves, quote pricing and features as of the month we publish or update a guide, and cover the alternatives rather than pushing a single answer. When pricing or features change, we update the guide and stamp the new date on it.

Our Podtastic disclosure

Ben also builds Podtastic, a podcast listening app. That's why you'll sometimes see it mentioned among the recommendations here. We think it's genuinely good, but we want that connection to be clear and up front: the guides always cover competing apps and the free alternatives honestly, and a recommendation is never the only option we give you.
